Limited Seller Policy

We maintain a limited seller policy, we monitor and regulate our sellers to make sure that consumers are not ripped off but on the other hand, we also protect our sellers, our aim is industry and as such, we maintain a limited seller priority, we prefer the old fashion style, we adopted this policy to protect both buyers and sellers it is easier to monitor few big stores than to regulate many small stores.

This limited seller policy does not however mean that new products or sellers might not come in it simply means that we prefer quality over quantity we want to make sure that the standard of products are from the best and we wish to attain uniformity and standard, given that some of these local products that we wish to export could be adulterated, we prefer a limited channel where we can easily see to the standard and also make sure that pricing is considerate between sellers and buyers.

The fact is that while free competition and a non-monopolistic outlook is the appropriate thing to do, things work a little differently here, we realised that if we make the market entirely open and free there could be competition leading to unfavourable prices on the side of the sellers and substandard or adulterated products on the side of buyers, in the past sellers had resorted to either adulteration, substandard products or even selling of fake products, in other to make sure that such is not the case with us, we have to limit the number of sellers selling a particular product or groups of products.

How does the limited seller policy Impact sellers: The limited seller policy impacts sellers in such a way that your proposal for a selling space may not be approved if there are already enough sellers for the products or groups of products you wish to sell. However, the fact that we try to limit the number of sellers does not mean that there is a monopoly, in our methods we use demand and supply mechanism to ascertain the suitable amount of sellers for a particular product or groups of products, as far as the current number of sellers can satisfy the market with both quality and quantity there may be no need to introduce more sellers.

We are not encouraging monopoly, however, we build on regulated alternatives. As a seller, you find out that there is much hope for your products if you get approved, you just need to make sure as a seller that your product is standard and be realistic in the pricing, on our own side, we work with the open market price of the products so there is no going to be any ripoff, just because there are limited sellers does not imply monopoly as we see the open market as an alternative and a competition, this is more like a single storefront and as such if you sell here you are our seller, we maintain transparency because that’s the only way we can protect both sellers and buyers.

What does the limited seller policy mean to you as a buyer:
It means quality and consumer eccentric system, we prioritize consumer satisfaction, we are trying to create a market system where consumers are satisfied, this won’t be possible in an unregulated market, we understand that consumers need alternatives but we are considerate that while working to give consumers the alternatives that they most deserve we don’t end up with terrible products that’s why we work with a limited seller policy to make sure that only the most reliable sellers and the best products are sold in our store.

Does this limited seller policy means monopoly: Our limited seller policy does not imply monopoly, when you look at the store as a single storefront, you will find out the need for the limited seller policy, on the other hand, the open market is our competition and alternative, the difference between here and open market, however, is that things are what we say they are, we wish to give consumers the best as such try to create an environment where products and services could be regulated and monitored this means improved standard and considerate pricing.

How does the limited seller impact price:
The limited seller impact price in such a way that price is considerate, the fact that we try to regulate and monitor products and services and pricing does not take away seller independence, sellers fix their price but not way above or way below open market price, we aim to make the pricing close to what is obtainable in the open markets, it becomes more like a place where both buyers and sellers achieve the right price.
