Ikenga Store partly emerged as a result of the crucial need to stop Xenophobia and other forms of murderous targetting of the Igbo People.

Ever since the onset of the British colonial period there had been inciting attitude against the Igbo people, in all honesty, we are a very unique, ingenious, and visible people not however without fault but that wouldn’t be enough reason for bloody targetting. The first instance of Xenophobia or Igbophobia was incited by the British colonialist by likening us to the much erroneously abhorred Jewish people.

Whether we are however by any means connected to the Jews remains largely a subject of further studies but as it stands now, we are Igbo People an indiginous west African tribe unapologetically proud of our African heritage.
